I’m so excited to tell you about Kristi W, SUN’s newest designer! You may have have already seen her fabulous designs going up in the shop and if not, you can take a closer look by clicking here to visit her store. Aren’t they super?!?!?!

Kristi was kind enough to answer a few questions I had so that we could all get to know a little more about her:

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I am 34 years old. I am married to a wonderful man. Our Anniversary is the 25th of April. We will be married for 7 years. I have a daughter Haylie Lorraine, She is 13 years old. I also have 2 grown step children and 2 step grandchildren.

2. How long have you been designing?

I have been designing for a year and a half.

3. Where do you get your inspiration?

I get my inspiration from looking in Scrap book Magazines, My Family and sometimes when I am out shopping something will catch my eye.

4. Do you have a favorite color combination or item that you love to work with?

I tend to work with more pastel colors and colors that are girly girl. I am trying to design with darker colors as well as we know that there are tons of people out there that have boys too. I have recently fell in love with Miss Tiina’s Vectors I just love those!

5. What is your favorite thing about designing?

My favorite thing about designing is meeting new people, Friendships and letting my creativity flow.

6. Do you have a blog?

I created one which I am still working on but it is www.kristiwdesigns.blogspot.com.

7. What was the most interesting trip you have ever taken?

My most interesting trip I have ever taken was to San Antonio Texas. It is such a beautiful City, they have so much to do and see.

8. What is something that not a lot of people know about you but you wish more people could know?

I am very shy until I get to know you. Once I get to know you and we become friends you cannot shut me up. I would do anything for anyone.

9. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play your part?

If there was a movie made about me I would want Alicia Silverstone to play me as I am always told how much I resemble her

10. What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

Not a whole lot, I am a clean freak so if it is in there longer then a few days it ends up in the trash. Also its time to go grocery shopping again.

Yup, that’s it, guys! The Orchard, for those who don’t know, exploded. I really shouldn’t be making fun of it but, just like Shauna says in her blog post you absolutely have to read, it would be hilarious any other day.

Because of what happened to the Orchard, we want to give them time to have the site up and running (and also a little breathing space, since they’re most likely holding their collective breaths now waiting for it to be back), before going hunting for apples, so the Scavenger Hunt will begin on 00:00 Wednesday and run until Midnight EST Friday. That gives you guys 48 hours to hunt, so you can rest easier.

Now what are you doing until then? Well, that is the good news. Angel For A Day, Devil For A Night, Scraplift and WordArt Challenges have been extended until Midnight EST Tuesday. I hope you will have the opportunity to make more Challenges that way and, most of all, have FUN!

So, the Grand Opening of the Sunshine Shop is only 2 days away now! Can you believe it? Wow! And I’m sure you are curious and would like to know just who will be selling at Sunshine Studio Scraps… I’m here to tell you!

When we decided to start this little shop, the one thing that was most important to us was that we all had the freedom to do what we wanted to. No one was required to join–this was going to be a fun endeavor! It also turned out to be a lot of work, too–a lot more than we bargained for when we were in the idealism dream stage of planning! But it has been totally worth it and we are overjoyed to hear of your excitement and receive all your love and support.

So, first of all, I should tell you who is staying exclusive with their current shops. There are several designers who are joining the shop just for collaborative projects. It’s kind of unique how we’ve done a lot of collabs together, all from our own desire to create things together! So you’ll see some of us in the shop just when we’ve creative collab kits with one another. This includes Megs (of Studio Flergs), Nicole (of Sugarplum Paperie) and Shauna (of Pineapple Plantation Designs). And also Trish will be going exclusive with Digital Candy, so you’ll be able to find her designs in her shop there!

And then we have some girls who have had massive real life events keeping them all tied up! Amanda has been without her computer for almost a month now! And Allie has lost her internet connection for the time being. She might just make it just in time, though. We have our fingers crossed!

As for the designers who will have all their beautiful designs in the Sunshine Studio, you will find lovely kits from Ellie, Monica (of mgl Scraps), Lauren & Amy (of Polka Dot Plum), Michelle (of IdziBitsy Designs), Kristi (of Web Designz by Kristi) Franziska, Adriane, Shawn and the Sunshine Guy Vasco!
