Hi everyone!  Caro here with a word art challenge for you.  But before we get to that, how are all you Scrap Idol contestants doing?  I’m already falling behind the goals I set for myself, but I’m in awe of the number of pages in the gallery after one week.

Okay, back to the challenge…  This week I thought I’d go for something inspired by the change of season.  I know most of you are headed into fall, but some of us (me included) are celebrating the fact that spring is in the air.  So, here’s the FREE word art I made for this week’s challenge.  All you need to do is scrap a page using this word art and then post it in the challenge gallery, then finally link back to the challenge forum so we can all leave you some love!

Now for our team spotlight! I chose Teri to spotlight today!  Don’t know who that is? Well you should see her around A LOT!  She’s a Wonder Girl (which means she’s awesome and does a million things for SUN) & she’s also a Sweetie (CT).   She makes sure everyone gets their points counted for challenges, makes beautiful layouts for our designers, does speed scraps, hosts challenges, and so much more!  Here’s a little bit about her:

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I live in Minnesota with Cainan, my boyfriend of 5 1/2 years, Dominick, our 17 month old, Draven and Nathanael, my 2 stepsons who are 12 and 10 and Carol, my 17 yr old cousin. I am a high school math teacher.

2. What’s your favorite thing about scrapping?

I love scrapping for 2 reasons: I love capturing the memories of our lives and it gives me a much needed creative outlet.

3. Do you have a favorite layout you’ve made that you’d like to share?

I have tons of LOs that I love. It seems that I just know when I have something I adore. Here is one that holds a special place right now: http://www.sunshinestudioscraps.com/…6279&ppuser=78 This photo was taken shortly before my sister left for her tour of duty.

4. Favorite scrapping item (or type of) that you just can’t get enough of?

I love love love awesome papers. Give me a template and papers, I don’t really need any elements because I can make them from papers!

6. What song would you pick to be the theme song of your life?

Just Another Day in Paradise from Phil Vassar. I love all the normal, everyday things in my life.

7. What else do you like to do in your free time?

Well, actually not much LOL. But I do enjoy reading and I love playing board games with my family!

8. What is something that not a lot of people know about you but you wish more people could know?

I’m pretty much an open book, but not many people know that I am the first one in my family to graduate from college.

9. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?

It would certainly be a pretty boring movie, but I think I’d want Anne Hathaway to play me.

10. What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

Leftovers- I love leftovers for my lunches each day!

I’m so excited to tell you about Kristi W, SUN’s newest designer! You may have have already seen her fabulous designs going up in the shop and if not, you can take a closer look by clicking here to visit her store. Aren’t they super?!?!?!

Kristi was kind enough to answer a few questions I had so that we could all get to know a little more about her:

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I am 34 years old. I am married to a wonderful man. Our Anniversary is the 25th of April. We will be married for 7 years. I have a daughter Haylie Lorraine, She is 13 years old. I also have 2 grown step children and 2 step grandchildren.

2. How long have you been designing?

I have been designing for a year and a half.

3. Where do you get your inspiration?

I get my inspiration from looking in Scrap book Magazines, My Family and sometimes when I am out shopping something will catch my eye.

4. Do you have a favorite color combination or item that you love to work with?

I tend to work with more pastel colors and colors that are girly girl. I am trying to design with darker colors as well as we know that there are tons of people out there that have boys too. I have recently fell in love with Miss Tiina’s Vectors I just love those!

5. What is your favorite thing about designing?

My favorite thing about designing is meeting new people, Friendships and letting my creativity flow.

6. Do you have a blog?

I created one which I am still working on but it is www.kristiwdesigns.blogspot.com.

7. What was the most interesting trip you have ever taken?

My most interesting trip I have ever taken was to San Antonio Texas. It is such a beautiful City, they have so much to do and see.

8. What is something that not a lot of people know about you but you wish more people could know?

I am very shy until I get to know you. Once I get to know you and we become friends you cannot shut me up. I would do anything for anyone.

9. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play your part?

If there was a movie made about me I would want Alicia Silverstone to play me as I am always told how much I resemble her

10. What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

Not a whole lot, I am a clean freak so if it is in there longer then a few days it ends up in the trash. Also its time to go grocery shopping again.
